53e43292aa More OpenBSD cleanup (primarily string). 
This patch removes the string/ and wchar/ directories.

35d937e4eb Remove _FORTIFY_SOURCE in implementation files. 
This was causing conflicting declarations for the library definitions of
common functions like sprintf(), snprintf(), and strchr().
