224e103308 Build System: Solve dependency problem for test
1. A test can add a runtime dependent test module by just setting
LOCAL_REQUIRED_MODULES or LOCAL_TARGET_REQUIRED_MODULES. Then the dependent test
module will be copied to testcase folder.
2. Do not install to $(TARGET_OUT_DATA) for testcase

BUG: 117224272

Test: 1. (a) vi cts/tests/tests/text/Android.mk
         (b) add LOCAL_REQUIRED_MODULES := CtsPrintTestCases
         (c) m -j CtsTextTestCases
         (d) Then, CtsPrintTestCases should also be built to testcase folder like below.
             ./target/product/generic_arm64/testcases/CtsPrintTestCases

9569ddd478 Deprecate LOCAL_MODULE_TAGS := eng/debug
Uses a new BUILD_BROKEN_ENG_DEBUG_TAGS variable that defaults to true
until we mark all of the broken targets, then we'll switch it to false.

These are fairly trivial to fix, so I don't expect to keep this flag
around for long.

674952098b Add PRODUCT_BUILD_*_IMAGE, BUILDING_*_IMAGE to control building of images
These centralize the decisions on whether to build certain images or
not, and allow the product definition to override that choice.

There are a few use cases here:

 * For GSI-like cases, we only want to build the system image. This
didn't really change, but it's somewhat simpler to configure, and
easier to understand the build logic.

 * On the opposite side, when you're planning on using a GSI, the device
specific build can only build the vendor images (or some other set).

 * Some cases (Fuchsia, etc) don't want to build any images, as they'll
be distributing the build artifacts in their own packaging.

I suspect in the future, TARGET_BUILD_APPS may be able to be refactored
into the third use case.

7537fd050f Clean up DIST_DIR usages, move to dist-for-goals
soong_ui now guarantees DIST_DIR is set in the environment, so remove
the default.

Use dist-for-goals instead of writing directly into DIST_DIR.

When building the system image, use DIST_DIR from the environment
instead of from make. This will eventually stop working, but this will
work for now.

ae9f10544d Change install paths of libs in sanitize builds
This changes the paths for partitions modules inside the 'asan'
subdirectory to match those used when not making sanitized builds.

This fixes get_non_asan_path macro, which just strips the 'asan' dir
from the lib paths.

For example, on a device without a product partition, previously
libraries would install install in:
- out/target/product/x/asan/product/lib[64]/y.so (with SANITIZE_TARGET)
- out/target/product/x/system/product/lib[64]/y.so (no SANITIZE TARGET)

Stripping the asan dir would look for the lib in out/.../<x>/product/,
which didn't exist. The new path for SANITIZE_TARGET builds is now
out/target/product<x>/asan/system/product/lib[64]/<y>.so

BOARD_BUILD_SYSTEM_ROOT_IMAGE remains and is used to specify if the

ramdisk.

e85777782a Add core-simple to the standard boot classpath
core-simple.jar is being added to the runtime classpath as
an easy-to-find placeholder and to help identify places that
care about the boot classpath / trigger conversations & issues /
force discussion.

See http://go/simple-module

To start, this jar is being added in various locations that know
about core-libart and/or core-oj. There will be follow-up changes to
make core-simple.jar more than just another core-* jar.

Make it so that `export`/`unexport` are deprecated during product

Remove some ccache / goma exports, those don't need to be exports, since
soong_ui asks about them explicitly. They also only run doing the

92afd7d1e7 Accept TARGET_DEVICE_DIR preserved from previous product load
During a build, we load product configuration three different times --
to dump some initial variables, when parsing the CleanSpec.mk files, and
again when we parse the Android.mk files.

The BoardConfig.mk find commands use -path, which isn't supported by the
Kati find optimizer, so we end up spending ~125ms in each of the above
cases (on my machine, internal master -- aosp is closer to 30ms).

Instead, do the search during the initial dumping of variables, and pass
in TARGET_DEVICE_DIR into the later runs, using that to load the
BoardConfig.mk file.

Bug: 78020936
Test: out/build-taimen.ninja is identical
Test: out/soong.log shows that we're not running these finds again

If HOST_CROSS_OUT_TESTCASES is not defined, then a module that
builds for windows and has a test config will attempt to install
the config file to /<module>/<module>.config.

641b6cc6b0 Add PLATFORM_SYSTEMSDK_VERSIONS and BOARD_SYSTEMSDK_VERSIONS
PLATFORM_SYSTEMSDK_VERSIONS is the list of System SDK versions that the
platform is supporting. Contrary to the public SDK where platform
essentially supports all previous SDK versions, platform support only a
few recent System SDK versions, since some of old System APIs are
gradually deprecated, removed from the following SDKs and then finally
deleted from the platform. This will be part of the framework manifest.

The list can be specified by setting PLATFORM_SYSTEMSDK_MIN_VERSION. If
it is set to an old version number, then System SDKs from the version
to the current version (PLATFORM_SDK_VERSION) are considered to be
supported by the platform. If PLATFORM_SYSTEMSDK_MIN_VERSION is not set,
only the latest System SDK version is supported.

Next, BOARD_SYSTEMSDK_VERSIONS is the list of System SDK versions that
the device is using. This is put to the device compatibility matrix
device is using. The device and the platform is considered as compatible
only BOARD_SYSTEMSDK_VERSIONS in the device compatibility matrix are
in the PLATFORM_SYSTEMSDK_VERSIONS in the framework manifest.

When BOARD_SYSTEMSDK_VERSIONS is set, a Java app or library in vendor or
odm partitions which didn't specify LOCAL_SDK_VERSION is forced to use
System SDK. Also, the build system does the additional integrity check
to ensure that LOCAL_SDK_VERSION is within BOARD_SYSTEMSDK_VERSIONS or
PLATFORM_SYSTEMSDK_VERSIONS (if BOARD_SYSTEMSDK_VERSIONS isn't set).

240d97a249 Apply snapshot variant to vndk package module name
VNDK snapshot phony package, vndk_v$VER, is redefined to
separate phony packages per VNDK snapshot build variant,
vndk_v$VER_$VARIANT, where $VARIANT is defined as the primary
$TARGET_ARCH of the build target.

Accordingly, top level Android.bp file under prebuilts/vndk/v$VER
is redefined as separate Android.bp files for each snapshot
variant at prebuilts/vndk/v$VER/$VARIANT/Android.bp.

Test: m -j PRODUCT_EXTRA_VNDK_VERSIONS=27 (after installing
snapshot to prebuilts/vndk/v27)
