Projects with this property will be aggresively optimized for size. This
is useful for large binaries that are rarely executed and performance
insensitive (e.g. debugging tools, deprecated libraries).
This changeset reduces total system native binary size by 1.1%.

Whenever any two Rust static libraries are included
as static libraries anywhere in a CC dependency tree, we sometimes
get duplicate symbol errors. To avoid this, we no longer
directly link multiple rust static libs to CC modules.
Instead, we build rust_ffi_rlib modules and produce the actual
static library that gets linked against the CC module based on
that CC module's full list of Rust rlib dependencies.
This introduces a new static_rlibs property for cc modules to
define the rust_ffi_rlib dependencies, which are then used to
generate the module above.
This CL is intended to deprecate rust_ffi_static. It leaves
rust_ffi_static and rust_ffi static variants in place until
the remaining rust_ffi_static declarations and uses can be
removed. In the meantime, rust_ffi_static produces
rust_ffi_rlib variants as well to make the transition easier.

android.ModuleBase already calls aconfigUpdateAndroidBuildActions()
that is the same with CollectDependencyAconfigFiles(). Remove the
CollectDependencyAconfigFiles() to avoid duplication with
aconfigUpdateAndroidBuildActions().
To make the aconfig information available in
GenerateAndroidBuildActions() of all modules, call
aconfigUpdateAndroidBuildActions() before calling
GenerateAndroidBuildActions() of each module.
Also, we don't need SetAconfigFileMkEntries(), which is a duplicate
of aconfigUpdateAndroidMkData()

Currently VNDK contains some logic for LLNDK libraries as they are
treated in a similar way with VNDK. However, those logics should stay from
VNDK deprecation. To keep the logic, this change moves LLNDK related
logic into llndk_library.

When testing test-only validations, I noticed that some cc_test modules
where not reporting that they were test-only.
This happened because test-per-src variations were short-circuiting
writing out the provider.
The `all_teams` target is using the first variation for a module, but
it possibly should see if any variation is test-only.
For now, just making this fix to cc.

As part of aosp/3022586 where we added the idea of "test-only" modules
and top_level_test_targets, this CL implements that for cc_ modules.
We let users set "test-only" on cc_library, but not on other modules
where the module kind is implicitly test-only, like cc_test.
Here the implementation, not the user decides it is test-only.

This commit fixes the incomplete ABI dumps for libc. The ABI checker
counts export_system_include_dir in the exported headers. It writes the
functions and types defined in the system headers to the dump files.

Existing snapshot code will no longer work from VNDK deprecation, but it
can give confusion to users if we keep code for the snapshot - and it
adds complexity on existing code while it is not in use. This change
removes all snapshot definition except host snapshot and its usage.

The ABI checker dumps the ABI from the source code of LLNDK
implementation libraries. It needs to filter the ABI by the LLNDK
headers.
This commit adds dependencies from LLNDK implementation libraries to
their export_llndk_headers. The LLNDK header directories are added to
PathDeps. A followup change will pass the directories to the ABI
checker.

This solves linter warnings in editor by adding flags to ignore errors
we don't care about. This also means that compile_commands.json is
closer to the flags we actually use for compilation.

So far, the installation of required modules were handled by Make. This
prevents us from implementing the module installation and packaging
entirely in Soong.
This CL is the first step towards that goal. Soong now correctly tracks
the dependencies and they are correctly returned by
TransitivePackagingSpecs(), which is used by packaging modules like
android_system_image.

This CL is scoped to cc_* module types. With trunk stable, we will have
multiple prebuilts of the cc modules in
prebuilts/module_sdk/art/<v>/host-exports/, and this CL introduces a
mechanism to use apex_contributions to select a specific versioned
prebuilt when building.
If a soong module is selected using apex_contributions, all rdeps will
get that soong module, which includes
- rdep soong modules which might be depending on it via Android.bp
- Soong's rule builder HostToolPath API
Implementation details: Create a new source_module_name property to
identify the root module. rdeps referring to the root module will get
redirected if necessary. This property also
becomes the stem, if `stem` is not set explicitly.

Although vendor modules can be built bundled, they are technially not
part of the "platform", as it cannot access platform libraries (system
partition) directly.
They can only link to a restricted set of platform libraries (LLNDK),
and access restricted set of APIs.
We used to derive the LLNDK API level from the VNDK version. However
after VNDK deprecation, there is no "VNDK version" anymore.
Instead we would just derive the value from platform SDK version:
* If building an in-development build, build vendor modules against the
in-development "current" API level.
* If building a REL / Final build, vendor should target the latest
stable API.

UseVndk is a function to check if the module can use VNDK libraries, but
this function was also used to check if the module is installed in the
treblelized partition (vendor or product). As of VNDK deprecation,
UseVndk funtion will return false even when the module is installed in
vendor / product partition, so we need a separated function to check
this. This change introduces a new function 'InVendorOrProduct' which
replaces UseVndk based on its usage.

Current CC/Rust Image variations are generated with target VNDK version.
However, this is no longer valid if VNDK is deprecated. This change
generates image variation without version ("vendor", "product") if VNDK
is deprecated.
