Before this change, exclude paths disabled sanitization of targets that
would otherwise be enabled by SanitizeDevice product variable (aka
SANITIZE_TARGET).
With this change, in addition to the above logic, exclude path disables
sanitization of targets that would otherwise be enabled by the
corresponding include path.
Effectively, this change disables sanitization of targets that are
covered by *both* include and exclude paths.

This CL adds the support for specifying lists of directories in
build/soong/android/bazel.go, which are then written into
out/soong/bp2build/MANIFEST. Using this configuration,
modules/directories can either default to bp2build_available: true or

It also ensures that ConvertWithBp2Build returns true iff the module

PlatformSepolicyVersion and BoardSepolicyVers haven't assigned correctly
so far. Below is the reason why it hasn't been discovered yet.
DeviceConfig.PlatformSepolicyVersion() was added to support mixed
sepolicy build (setting BOARD_SEPOLICY_VERS and building vendor sepolicy
with old plat policy files). Soong compares PlatformSepolicyVersion()
and BoardSepolicyVers(), and used old vendor sources if both are
different. Back then, the only place where such logic played a role was
selinux contexts. Test codes were running as intended: after setting
BOARD_SEPOLICY_VERS the context files were built against old policies.
But there were two mistakes:
1) PlatformSepolicyVersion() was not added to soong_config.mk, so it was
always empty.
2) BOARD_SEPOLICY_VERS was set to default in system/sepolicy/Android.mk,
which was processed after soong_config. So if BOARD_SEPOLICY_VERS was
not set in BoardConfig.mk, BoardSepolicyVers() was empty, not
PLATFORM_SEPOLICY_VERSION.
And there were no issues as Soong only checked equality.
To fix the issue correctly, this commit adds the variable
PlatformSepolicyVersion, and then handles BoardSepolicyVers correctly by
returning PlatformSepolicyVersion if it's empty.
Test: set BOARD_SEPOLICY_VERS and see vendor_file_contexts changes

This requires linking Blueprint into soong_ui. It lets us avoid the
complicated dance of Ninja files and shell scripts: now the information
as to how soong_build is built is passed directly to Blueprint using a
struct that contains all the information the command line arguments used
to contain.
The ability to run Blueprint from the command line is kept (for now).
Some variables in bootstrap/command.go needed public accessor functions
because soong_build reads them. This will be disentangled by moving the
flag parsing to soong_build.
The presence of the flag definitions in Blueprint means that soong_ui
now also accepts them. This is not a problem in practice because they
are ignored and because soong_ui itself is hidden behind a few layers of
shell scripts.

Calling ExistentPathForSource from a PackageVarContext has to fall
back to a less optimal glob dependency implementation that adds the
file to out/soong/build.ninja.d. Checking for "frameworks/base"

The APEX symlink optimization is a build-time trick to save the
storage/RAM usage of APEX by replacing some files in APEX with symlinks
to the files in the system partition. The optimization however is
automatically turned off for 'updatable: true' APEXes because doing the
optimization for them will hide the sys-health implication until when
the APEXes are built unbundled (i.e. prebuilt) and thus the
optimization is impossible.
TARGET_FORCE_APEX_SYMLINK_OPTIMIZATION forcibly disables the safety net.
When it is set to true, the symlink optimization is done regardless of
the 'updatable' property. This is useful for some of the devices like Go
where most APEXes (even the 'updatable: true' ones) should be
effectively non-updatable.

1. Soong can now detect PRODUCT_COMPRESSED_APEX flag
We don't want APEX to be compressed on all devices. Only those that
have explicitely set PRODUCT_COMPRESSED_APEX flag.
2. Handle "compressible" field in soong build rule
On devices that supports APEX compression, all APEX will be
compressed by default. If any apex does not want to be compressed,
they will need to state that by setting "compressible" field to
false
3. Can use apex_compression_tool to compress APEX
Note we compress the APEX after it has been signed. That way, when
we decompress we will get a signed APEX.
4. Place the compressed APEX in system with .capex extension
This makes it easy to identify. We still preserve the original
extension so that when we decompress, we can just rename by cuttif
off the .capex extension.
Note: with this change, we can create a system image with compressed
APEX, but we cannot boot with it since platform doesn't know how to
handle .capex files. Platform support will be added on follow up CLs.

* Updates BootJars() method to simply concatenate the jars list from

* Adds an UnmarshalJSON(..) method to ConfiguredJarList to support
unmarshalling from a single string array to avoid having to change the
format of the JSON file from which the configuration is loaded.
* Adds some additional calls to ConfiguredJarList(..) in tests to
convert from []string to ConfiguredJarList. They pass nil as the
ctx argument as there is no suitable PathContext which will cause any
errors to be thrown using panic. That is reasonable for hard coded
values in tests. A follow up change will clean up the calls to

A host target is considered as being cross-compiled when the target
can't run natively on the build machine. For example, linux_glibc/x86_64
is a non-cross target on a standard x86/Linux machine, but is a cross
host on Mac. Previously, whether cross or not was a static attribute of
an OsType. For example, Windows was always considered as cross host,
while linux_bionic was not. This becomes a problem when we support more
host targets like linux_bionic/arm64 which should be cross-host on
standard x86/Linux machines.
This change removes HostCross from the OsClass type and instead adds a
property HostCross to the Target type. When a target is being added, it
is initialized to true when the target can't run natively on the current
build machine.

Handling of API levels within Soong is currently fairly difficult
since it isn't always clear based on context what kind of API level a
given string represents, how much canonicalizing and error checking
the code receiving the string are expected to do, or how those errors
should be treated.
The API level struct does not export its raw data, so as to keep its
"constructor" private to the android package, and to prevent misuse of
the `number` field, which is only an implementation detail for preview
API levels. API levels can be parsed with either
`android.ApiLevelFromUser`, which returns any errors to the caller, or
`android.ApiLevelOrPanic`, which is used in the case where the input
is trusted and any errors in parsing should panic. Even within the
`android` package, these APIs should be preferred over direct
construction.
For cases where there are context specific parsing requirements, such
as handling the "minimum" alias in the cc module,
`nativeApiLevelFromUser` and `nativeApiLevelOrPanic` should be used
instead.

With the addition of apexes and /system_ext some of the bootclasspath

This has been implemented by using lists of colon-separated strings
called "apex-jar pairs" (although "apex" was misleading as it could
refer to "platform" or "system_ext", not necessarily a real apex).
Using the colon-separated string representation is inconvenient, as it
requires splitting and reassembling the list components many times,
which harms performance and makes error handling difficult. Therefore
this patch refactors the colon-separated lists into a struct that
hides the implementation details.

Specifically, make Android.bp.list and soong.variables explicit inputs
While this is not a comprehensive list of all inputs
of this action (as the action depends on all blueprint
files in the source tree), this is closer to the truth.
This is a rollforward CL, which was originally rolled
back, as path validation failed for when OUT_DIR was
an absolute path. Validation has now been relaxed.
Test: Manually verified ninja output, checkbuild approved validation
for aosp-crosshatch, and manually ran frameworks/rs/build_rs.py with

Make uses NATIVE_COVERAGE to enable gcov coverage and CLANG_COVERAGE
to enable clang coverage. NATIVE_COVERAGE is translated to the Soong
Native_coverage product variable which triggers the native_coverage
clause in Android.bp files. The clause also needs to be triggered
for CLANG_COVERAGE.
Rename the existing Native_coverage product variable to GcovCoverage,
and regenerate Native_coverage when either GcovCoverage or
ClangCoverage are set.
Also remove NativeLineCoverage, it wasn't doing anything differently
than Native_coverage.

The first component is the apex name, or a special name "platform"
if the boot jar is a platform jar rather than a part of some apex.
This is a prerequisite change for moving core-icu4j to a separate
com.android.i18n apex.
Old one-column format is still supported, but all unqualified
components of PRODUCT_BOOT_JARS get "platform:" prepended to them
after reading the product makefiles.

Adds a CommonOS variant for sdk that depends on the os specific
variants and is used to generate a single sdk for multiple OsTypes,
e.g. host linux and android.
At the minute the member types only support a single OsType but the
basic mechanism for managing the CommonOS variant and collating the
variants across all of them is there.
The only visible effect of this change is that the location of the
generated snapshot is changed, it is no longer os specific and instead
is in the same location irrespective of which os it is built for.
A lot of tests needed to be changed to specify "common_os" as the
variant type instead of the specific os type. As that is the same across
all tests it is hard coded in CheckSnapshot method.

The value format that sdk_version (and min_sdk_version, etc.) can have
has consistently evolved and is quite complicated. Furthermore, with the
Mainline module effort, we are expected to have more sdk_versions like
'module-app-current', 'module-lib-current', etc.
The goal of this change is to abstract the various sdk versions, which
are currently represented in string and is parsed in various places,
into a type called sdkSpec, so that adding new sdk veresions becomes
easier than before.
The sdk_version string is now parsed in only one place 'SdkSpecFrom', in
which it is converted into the sdkSpec struct. The struct type provides
several methods that again converts sdkSpec into context-specific
information such as the effective version number, etc.

Create a highmem pool based on the total RAM and the number of CPUs,
with an override via the NINJA_HIGHMEM_NUM_JOBS variable. Put
metalava into the highmem pool.
Ninja does not support nested pools, and when goma or RBE is enabled
the maximum ninja parallelism is set very high with local jobs in a
local pool. When both the local pool and highmem pool are enabled,
the total number of local jobs will be as high as the sum of the sizes
of the two pools. Keep the highmem pool limited to 1/16th of the
local pool when remote builds are enabled to try to minimize the
effect while still limiting highmem jobs.

prebuilts.
This runs Soong in skip-make mode, using normal in-make mode only to query
platform versions.
The same ${OUT_DIR} cannot be used for both skip-make and in-make builds,
because Soong generates a smaller build.ninja file in in-make builds where
many build targets are expected to be provided by the mk files. Thus this
script avoids using ${OUT_DIR} if it's an in-make build, defaulting instead
to out-aml/.
The script is based on build-ndk-prebuilts.sh, but uses a separate Soong
variable Aml_abis to enable the appropriate target architectures for
Mainline modules. Aml_abis is very similar to Ndk_abis, except "armeabi-v7a"
is used instead of "armeabi", which is necessary to match prebuilt
dependencies, e.g. for LLVM.

as BOARD_VNDK_VERSION does to vendor partition.
Modules with 'vendor_available: true' create product variant as well

is used for the modules in /product or /system/product.
