This change modifies the build actions of java_sdk_library module type
so that it does not perform any compilation actions (i.e. does not
create the top level java_sdk_library jar file). Instead, it delegates
the build actions the top level jar file was performing to the
dynamically created ".impl"-suffixed java library module. The build
actions that are delegated to the impl library module include hiddenapi
processing, dexing, and dexpreopt.
This change relands https://r.android.com/3035972. Implementation
changes from the original change:
- "all_apex_contributions" is added as a dependecy to the implementation
library modules where the parent sdk_library module has a prebuilt
equivalent. This allows the source apex variant to be hidden from make
when the prebuilt is active.

aosp/2984037 disabled dexperopt of the source apex system server jars
when prebuilts are selected. This was done to prevent duplicate
installation and dex2oat deps.
AOSP art has some additional variants like com.android.art.debug. In
source builds, this apex should contain service-art.jar and
service-art.jar.prof (a dexpeopt artifact). We have a test to check this
(`art_apex_test.py`). If we disable dexpreopt of source sdlib when
prebuilts are selected, this test needs to be disabled. This is the
behavior at ToT.
This CL changes the behavior to enable running this test even when
com.google.android.art prebuilt is active in a specific release
configuraiton. To prevent collisions that prompted aosp/2984037, this CL
special-cases the installation and dex2oat rules instead of disabling
dexpreopt of the source sdklib altogether.
b/331665856 tracks the principled solution to prevent duplicate
dexpreopt rules.
Implementation:
Add a new copyApexSystemServerJarDex arg to GenerateDexpreoptRule API.
If true, the dexjar file will be copied to
out/soong/system_server_jars/. For soong modules, the value of this will
be the inverse of disableSourceApexVariant. Since none of the apex
system server jars are in make, this will be a noop in dexpreopt_gen

The apex_contributions in next builds use prebuilt apexes with source
java_sdk_library for javac. The dexpreopt rules of the source
java_sdk_library are disabled via
RELEASE_DEFAULT_MODULE_BUILD_FROM_SOURCE coupled with some complicated
special-casing in android/prebuilt.go
This special-casing breaks if we want to use prebuilts of some modules,
and sources of other modules. To enable per mainline module
toggelability, explicitly disable dexpreopt of source variant of
java_sdk_library if we use prebuilt of the containing apex.

At ToT, an optional_uses_libs is not added to the build time CLC if it
does not exist in the tree. One edge case here is
java_sdk_library_import, which might exist in the tree, but without an
implementation. This cause issues during analysis when we try to verify
the correctness of the build time CLC.
This CL disables dexpreopt if a dependency does not have an
implementation. To limit inadvertent side effects, this is restricted to
java_sdk_library(_import) module types. (more precisely, it is restricted
to java_sdk_library_import, since the source module type will always
have an impl)

For prebuilts, the dexpreopt rules of system server jars are now
generated from the context of the top-level prebuilt apex and not in the
context of the shim java_import modules. Since
`dex_preopt.profile_guided` property is defined in java_import, this
needs to be bubbled up to the top-level apex. This will be done using
deapxerInfo. If profile_guided of a transitive java_import is true, the deapexed .prof file will be
set as dexreopter.inputProfilePathOnHost before invoking
dexpreopter.dexpreopt. This ensures that only that java_import undergoes
profile guided dexpreopt, and not every other transitive java_import

For prebuilts, java.dexpreopt gets called twice
1. in the context of the top-level prebuilt apex
2. in the context of the java_library shim
Only the artifacts of (1) get installed. The artifacts generated by 2)
are unused. However the args used to generate the artifacts of (1) are
incorrect. It uses moduleName(ctx) to do special-handling of apex system
server jars. This special-handling does not happen in (1), so although
dexpreopt artficats get generated, they get generated with the wrong
args.
To fix this, add an additional parameter in java.dexpreopt to pass the
libraryName explicitly.
Details
- Delete moduleName function. This was used to determine the java
library name, which is no longer safe
- Add a libraryName parameter to java.dexpreopt
- Most module types will use j.Name() as libraryName
- prebuilt_apex and apex_set will iterate over its `contents` and use
each element as libraryName when invoking java.dexpreopt
With the correct args passed from (1), we can drop j.dexpreopt from (2)
completely. Dropping (2) also breaks profile guided dexpreopt tests.
These currently operate on (2). They will be moved to (1) in the next CL
of this stack.

(This was missed in aosp/2876756, which copied only the bcp jars)
This hardcoded location is used by dex2oat to compile the dexpreopt
artifacts. The copy rules are currently generated by java_(sdk)_library
for source builds, and their prebuilt counterparts in prebuilt builds.
After this change, the copy rule will be bifurcated between source and
prebuilt builds
1. For source builds, it will come from java_(sdk)_library
2. For prebuilt builds, it will come from the top-level prebuilt apex.
Since there can be multiple prebuilt apexes in trunk stable,
HideFromMake will be used to determine which deapexed jar to copy.
The bifurfaction is expected to be temporary. It is needed for now since
the `apex_contributions` which will be used for source vs prebuilt
selection have not been populated completely.

hiddenapi and dexpreopt require boot and system server jars from apexes.
When building with prebuilts, this comes via
java_import/java_sdk_library_import, which acts as a hook for
prebuilt_apex/apex_set. If we have multiple apexes in the tree, this
hook becomes 1:many. This CL prepares dex_bootjars to select the right
deapexerd .jar files when mutliple prebuilts exist.
Implementation details
- Update prebuilt module types (prebuilt_apex/apex_set) and source
apexes to set a map of
library name to dex jar path on host.
- dex_bootjars will access the path of the .dex jar on host via the
provider. These then
copied/installed to the right locations.
This CL does not drop the old mechanism to get the dex file (i.e. by
creating a dep on java_library). Once all mainline
modules have been flagged using apex_contributions, the old mechanism
will be dropped

dexpreopt of apex system server from prebuilts involves three soong
modules
1. prebuilt_apex / apex_set
2. an internal deapexer module created by the prebuilt apex
3. java_import/java_sdk_library
(3) acts as a shim for the deapexer to set the dexjar extracted from the
prebuilt apex. This methodolody requires a 1:1 correspondence across the
three modules
This breaks down when we have multiple versions of the same prebuilt
apex in the tree. In preparation for this, move the dexpreopt
processing from (3) to (1). Each prebuilt_apex will create the necessary
rules for dexpreopting the jars deapexed from itself. In the future,
apex_contributions will be used to pick which service-foo.{odex|.vdex} to
install depending on which prebuilt apex is selected.
Implementation details
- Embed dexpreopter in prebuiltApex structs so that this module type can
register the dexpreopt rules. Since a single apex can have multiple
system server jars, this also requires creating an additional scope in
dexpreopt.go to prevent name collisions
- Add the dexpreopt modules as required in initApexFilesForAndroidMk
- Add the depreopt modules to androidMk in AndroidMkEntries. Drop the
equivalent from java_import and java_sdk_library_import

Starting from aosp/2594905, dexpreopt depends on
`$PRODUCT_OUT/product_packages.txt`. When PRODUCT_PACKAGES changes,
dexpreopt has to rerun for all apps. This is not ideal.
After this change, dexpreopt uses a per-app product_packages.txt that is
filtered by the app's dependencies, and it uses `rsync --checksum` to
prevent the file's mtime from being changed if the contents don't change.
This avoids unnecessary dexpreopt reruns.

Change-Id: I5788a9ee987dfd0abfd7d91cbcef748452290004
Before this change, dexpreopt was often broken with optional libraries.
This was because the CLC construction was done in Soong at an early
stage, where we don't have sufficient information to determine whether
an optional library is installed or not.
For example, the "Settings" package uses an optional library called
"androidx.window.extensions". On some devices, the library is installed,
but on some other devices, it's not. Soong always adds the library to
the CLC, meaning the CLC is wrong for devices which don't have the
library. This change fixes the problem. See the tests below.
After this change, the CLC construction is done by a Python script
invoked at a very late stage. It uses product_packages.txt, which is
generated by Make, to determine whether an optional library is
installed or not, and filter out libraries that are not installed.
Note that optional libraries are still added as dependencies by Soong.
This is because dependencies have to be added at an early stage. This
means what dex2oat eventually uses will be a subset of the dependencies,
which is fine.

This CL handles updatable boot jars in the same hacky way as we handle
non-updatable boot jars: it creates a set of predefined paths to the dex
jars in a global config, then traverses all modules in a singleton
context, finds updatable boot jars and adds copy rules from these jars
to the predefined paths. A proper way would be to register dependencies
of the dexpreopted modules on the boot jars and extracting paths to dex
files by walking these dependencies.

The new mode is enabled with environment variable
RELAX_USES_LIBRARY_CHECK. If the variable is set to true, then a
verify_uses_libraries check failure does not fail the build, instead it
sets a special compiler filter "extract" for dexpreopt, which means that
the DEX file will be extracted, but it won't be compiled to native code.
Class loader context will be set to empty in this case (not &, as it is
going to be deprecated soon).
If the variable RELAX_USES_LIBRARY_CHECK is unset or set to something
other than "true", then the old behaviour of the verify_uses_libraries
check is preserved.
The intended use case for this flag is to have a smoother migration path
for the Java modules that need to add <uses-library> information in
the build files. The flag allows to quickly silence build errors. This
flag should be used with caution and only as a temporary measure, as it
masks real errors and affects performance.
verify_uses_libraries check is reworked so that it writes the error
message to a status file (which is used instead of the former timestamp
file). Currently the stored error message is not used, but it may be
used later to produce a warning. Dexpreopt command checks if the status
file exists and is nonempty; if that is the case, then compiler filter
is set to "extract".

Test: Manually add some mismatch between the libraries in the Android.bp
and Android.mk files for dexpreopted apps, build with
RELAX_USES_LIBRARY_CHECK=true and obsserve that the build doesn't
fail and they are compiled with compiler-filter "extract".
Unset RELAX_USES_LIBRARY_CHECK and observe that the build fails.

A path to an nonexistent file caused dex2oat to write an empty path in
the class loader context stored inside of the OAT/ODEX file, which
resulted in class loader context mistmatch and a failure to load
dexpreopt code on device.
An example of a faulty class loader context for GoogleDialer, can be
seen either with oatdump or by grepping logcat for class loader context
mimatch messages (the first empty PCL[] is expected, note the second
empty PCL[] in the subcontext for shared libraries):
PCL[]{PCL[]#PCL[/system/framework/org.apache.http.legacy.jar*22205474]
This CL removes the nonexistent path from the generated dexpreopt.config
file, which works in conjunction with a change in makefiles that stops
using the removed config field. This is possible because makefiles can
access DEX files using a module name and "intermediates-dir-for" macro.

In order to allow the hiddenapi code which expects its inputs to be
ModuleOutPath to consume the output from the deapexer module type (used
by prebuilt_apex) this change converts the hiddenapi from using
ModuleOutPath to use OutputPath instead.
This is part of a general cleanup to remove ModuleOutPath that is
separated out in order to avoid having the hiddenapi work dependent
upon and possibly delayed by issues with that general cleanup.

This is needed for Java libraries that are <uses-library> dependencies
of Java libraries and apps defined as Make modules. Each dexpreopted
module in Make generates a dexpreopt.config file, which incorporates
information from its dependencies' dexpreopt.config files. For
dependencies that are Make modules their dexpreopt.config files are
generated by Make, and for Soong modules they are generated by Soong.
Since Soong doesn't know which libraries are used by Make, it generates
build rules for a superset of the necessary libraries.

dexpreopt doesn't strip dex files from the input jar anymore, so there's
no point returning the input jar path untouched.
