Mark Salyzyn a98cc9c202 init: turn off backlight when performing shutdown cleanup 
Try writing a "0" into:

- /sys/class/leds/lcd-backlight/brightness
- /sys/class/backlight/*/brightness

to turn off the backlight during shutdown cleanup.
